Note: Ancestry.com report (done by others) list Jantje Douma born Nov 21, 1863 to Jacob Douma and Hylkje Hattie Jacobs Haagsma. She was first married to Johannes Andringa and had five sons and one daughter. She died Oct 15, 1834.

Mrs. M. Posthumus died Monday, October 15, at 11 o'clock in the evening from the consequences of a stroke that affected her last week, In the age of 70 and 11 months. Born in Tjummarum, Friesland, she came to Orange City in 1886 and got married there in 1888 to J. Andringa, there are six children, Fred at Hartley, Jake in Sanborn, Jennie (Mrs. G. Sanders) at Clear Lake, Charles at Orange City, George at Sanborn and Dick at Orange City. In 1902 she married M. Posthumus, from which two children born , Gerrlt in Sanborn and Elizabeth (Mrs. P Mulder) in Bellflower, Cal. Mrs. Posthumus was a good holy woman and mother. Her passing leaves a void for husband left behind and friends. The funeral services set at half past one at the house of death and at two o'clock in the First Ref. church.
