Note: Checking a family report on ancestry.com (by others) His parents were John Post and Gertrude Roetman. His father was born Nov 1856 Netherlands and died Feb 22, 1904 OK. His mother was Gertrude Roetman 1863-1897, dau of Lambert Roetman and Jentje Last. John Jr. has several brothers and sisters. He was born in Iowa, Nellie was born October 1888 in IA, Jennie was born 1891 in Iowa, Lambert was born 1892 in IA, Henry was born in Laclede County MO, and Gerrit was born in Laclede Co. MO. His mother died Feb 8, 1897 in Lebanon MO.

Mr. John Post who was an employee on the Conrad De Wilde farm passed away last week Wednesday. He was ill for about ten days. Funeral services were held Friday at Middleburg IA. Ralatives have the sincere sympathy of all.
