Funeral services for Hans J. Paulsen, 73 of Boyden were held Monday January 23, 10:00 am. At the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville IA.
The Rev. N. J. Becker officiated. Burial took place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Granville under the arrangement of Vande Ploeg Funeral home of Sheldon. Rosary was recited Sunday evening at Spaulding Hal in Granville where the body lay from 5 to 9:00 p.m.

Mr Paulsen passed away at this farm home Thursday noon after a long illness, being a patient at Sheldon Hospital earlier.

He was born February 25, 1893 at Remsen IA. He was untied in marriage to Cecelia Beckmann on Jan 14, 1923 at Granville, IA. He was a veteran of World War One. The Paulsen family farmed south of Boyden several years where they still make their home.

He leaves to mourn his wife and daughter, Florence Paulsen of Boyden, a sister, Mrs. Mx Adrian of Everly; two half-brothers, Otto Paulsen of Everly and Harry Paulsen of Spencer and two half-sisters, mrs. Louis Stuben and Miss Nannie Paulsen of Everly. IA.
