JOHN TE SLAA DIES SUDDENLY

John Te Slaa, a farmer living six miles north of Sioux Center, died on Wednesday from heart failure, after a short illness. He was 63 years of age; is survived by his wife and six children, and by two brothers who live at Hull.

The funeral was held Saturday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull, Reverend Heysing officiating.

Mr. John Te Slaa was born in the Netherlands and came to the United States about 18 years ago. He was honest and industrious and a respected member of the community.

Note: Jan second marriage was to Fredrika Colenbrander on September 21, 1904 in the Netherlands.

Jan and Fredrika are the parents of: Cynthia b. February 9, 1906 d. June 18, 2001; John b. November 25, 1908 d. February 26, 1984; Hendiena Wilhemina "Minnie" b. September 17, 1910 d. April 29, 1993; Johanna "Hannah" b. January 14, 1920 d. January 20, 2005

Jan had two children from his first marriage: Reka b. November 26, 1896 d. October 22, 1993; Henry b. March 25, 1898 d. January 17, 1977
