A telegram was received here Tuesday afternoon bearing the sad news of the death of Miss Lizzie Stronks at Chicago. She leaves to mourn her loss Mrs. Mary Sorgdrager of Alton, Miss Phoebe Stronks of Chicago, Simon and John of Wisconsin. She will be remembered here by many from the time she was a clerk in Wm. Stronks' store and she also taught school in the Alton vicinity. At the time of her death she was a stenographer in the offices of the International Harvester Co., in Chicago.
