Mrs. Henry Van Wechel, nee Wilhelmina Brockhuis, died Friday evening at the age of 64 years. About six weeks ago she had an attack of la grippe, but was recovering, although still suffering from the results of this disease. On Monday of last week her condition grew worse suddenly, as a result of a fall in the yard behind her residence. Her death was very unexpected. Mrs. Van Wechel was born in Oldenbroek, Netherlands, where she was united to Henry Van Wechel. The couple came to this country 24 years ago and have lived since in the southern part of town. The following children survive: Mrs. W. Green, Moosejaw, Can.: Mrs. H. Vander Poel, of this town: John, Henry, Minnie and Andrew who are at the paternal home and Wessel in the hospital at Cherokee. A sister of the deceased is living at Edgerton, Minn. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the First Reformed church.
