Frederick Studer, a former resident of Rock Valley died at his home at Stevens, South Dakota, last week Wednesday, and the remains were brought to Rock Valley for funeral services and burial Sunday. The services were held in the Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Studer was a native of Switzerland where he spent his early life. He came to this country in 1876. They lived in Ohio for several years and then moved to Rock Valley where they resided until the death of his wife, Mrs. Christina (Hall) Studer ten years ago, in 1922. Mr. Studer then went to Elk Point, South Dakota, to make his home and later moved to Stevens, South Dakota.

Mr. Studer is survived by three sons, Fritz, of Stevens, South Dakota; Louis of Sessitin, South Dakota; and John of Minnesota, and two daughters, Mrs. Newhouse of Salix, Iowa, and Mrs. Green who lives in California. He leaves two brothers, Alex and Rudolph, and two sisters, Mrs. G.F. Pfarrer, all of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Solon of Mason City, Iowa.
