Mrs. C. Drenth, nee Henrietta Harms, was born Sep. 27,1869 in New Borta, Province Groningen, Netherlands. Shecame to America in 1886 and lived at Rock Valley until February 29, 1888. At this time she united in marriage with Mr C.Drenth, and made her home around Boyden. This sacred union was blessed with 15 children, one of whom preceded her in death in 1906.

Surviving to mourn her departure are her husband and the following children: William, Claus, and Wiert of Ellsworth, Minn-; Alexander and Nick at Adrian Minn ; Jake at Sheldon; Mrs. Flora Heemstra, at Santa Ana, Cal.; Mrs. Katie Van Rennes, at Bueua Park, Cal.; Mrs Coba Sehiklaner, Plankington, So. Dak.; Mrs. Ella Wallinga. Sheldon, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie Rehberg, Boyden, Iowa, Mrs. Jennie Karnmalade Boyden, la, and Grace and Mary at home She has one brother at Clara City, Minn.,and 35 grandchildren.

She passed away at 1:30 Sunday morning Nov. 17, at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 29 days. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon from the Reformed Church at Boyden. Rev. J. W. Brink officiating, assisted by Rev. Ostermeier. Interment was made in the local cemetery

Mother of 14 Passed Away Mrs. Klaas Drenth 68, Boyden passed away at her home Sunday morning. She had been ailing for several months and returned from the hospital only a few days before to be at home when she passed away. The funeral will be held Thursday Nov 21, from the Ref. church in Boyden with Rev. John Brink officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Drenth settled near Boyden 48 years ago. She is survived by her husband and 14 children. Two daugthers now live in CA and on lived in Plankingotn SD. The rest all live around Boyden. The youngest is 21 years old.
