Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 25th, for Mrs. Mary Katherine Stoll, 87, long time resident of Hospers and member of St. Anthony Church. A Solemn High Mass was celebrated at 9:30 A.M. by Mrs. Stoll’s son, the Reverend Peter Stol, S.V.D. assisted by Rt. Reverend Monsignor Zeno Reising, Alton as deacon and Reverend Heyland of Sheldon, sub-deacon. The Rt. Reverend Monsignor George Theobald of Hospers was master of ceremonies and Reverend Joynt in the sanctuary.

Mary Boschey was born at Fredonia, Wisconsin, May 11, 1873, daughter of Peter and Mary (Wiesler) Goschey. She was married to Henry Stoll May 8, 1894. To this union ten children were born, of whom six survive, namely: Simon of Sheldon; Reverend Peter of Chicago; Louis of Hospers; Mrs. A.W. (Elizabeth) Kellen, Alton; Henry and Philomena of Hospers. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister.

Six grandsons acted as pallbearers: Joe Stoll, Charles Stoll, Joe Kellen, Daniel Kellen, Peter Stoll and Vincent Stoll. Burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
