Dibbet, Jacob 1896-1983 buried in Sioux Center Cemetery

JACOB DIBBET Jacob Dibbet, 86, of Sioux Center died Sunday, April 17 at a Sioux City hospital. Services were Wednesday in the Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. A. M. Den Boer officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Dibbet was born July 17, 1896 in the Netherlands and came to the United States and to Sioux County in 1915. He married Sophia Van Ravenswaay, Dec. 6. 1918, at Orange City. They lived in Ireton and Sioux Center areas, moving to Sioux Center in 1955. For the last two years they had lived in the Hospital Nursing Wing. Mrs. Dibbet died Feb. 19, 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Richard and Jacob Jr., both of Sioux Center; four daughters, Mrs. William (Alice) Van Voorst of Sioux Center, Mrs. John G. (Gertrude) Draayer and Mrs. Raymond (Joan) Maassen, both of Rock Valley and Mrs. Alvin (Arlene) Hoogendoorn of Inwood; 43 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
