From the Rock Valley Bee, September 29, 1933:

Mrs. Hastings received a message Sunday morning that her brother, Eustace Renshaw, formerly of Rock Valley, had passed away at his home in Los Angeles. Mr. Renshaw at one time owned a bank in Inwood and farmed extensively in both Lyon and Sioux counties before moving to California.

RESEARCH NOTES

The California Death Index has Eustace Renshaw, age 70, died 24 September 1933 in Los Angeles.

His FindaGrave.com page gives his birth/death years as 1862-1933, with a photo of his headstone. Buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. Spouse Cora Elvira Renshaw (1863-1939); son Guy Wilbur Renshaw (1897-1972).

The Iowa marriage indexes on Ancestry.com show Eustace Renshaw, born in National, Iowa, marrying Cora E. Kinsley, born in McGregor, Iowa, in McGregor on 28 June 1893.

The 1900 U.S. census shows the family living in Inwood, Lyon County: Eustace Renshaw, age 38, born March 1862, married 7 years, a farmer; wife Cora E., age 36, born Nov. 1863, mother of 2 children, both living; daughter Marian G., age 5, born Sept. 1894 in Iowa; son Wilber G., age 2, born Dec. 1897 in Iowa.

He was not found in the 1910 census. News notes in area papers indicate that the Renshaws moved to Medford, Oregon, in 1912. In 1920 he was a fruit orchardist in Medford. In 1930 he (age 68) owned a poultry farm in Los Angeles, and was living with wife Cora G. (66), daughter Marion G. (35), a public school teacher, and son Guy W. (33), a real estate agent.
