Charles Zachary Dickmann, 24, of Brandon, South Dakota died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be held, Saturday, March 30, at 2:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Rock Valley, Iowa with Pastor Kandi Anderson officiating.

Charles Zachary Dickmann, son of Charlie and Teresa (Kilburn) Dickmann, was born July 9, 1994 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Zachary attended George-Little Rock School through the 12th grade. He was a senior at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During the summers, he would work at Camp Agusta in California mentoring children. Zachary was a tutor at the Augustana University Writing Center. He enjoyed working with and teaching young students. Zachary loved theatre and speech. He loved reading, writing, and telling stories. Zachary loved learning about and visiting other countries. He traveled to India, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, France, Spain, and Italy. When he came home, Zachary would share stories about his wonderful adventures with his family. He was a proud member of the Augie Feminist Equality Movement. Zachary truly loved his family, especially Jacob. He shared his life through his organs as a donor.

Zachary is survived by his parents, Charlie and Teresa Dickmann; brother, Jacob Dickmann; grandma, Margaret “Skipper” Dickmann; uncles, Michael (Bridget) Dickmann and LeRoy (Wendy) Kilburn; and aunt Nellie (Ralph) Johnson.

Zachary was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Clarence Dickmann; maternal grandpa, Floyd Kilburn; maternal grandma, Donna Blackshire; infant brother, Anthony Dickmann; aunt, Cindy Kilburn; and uncle Clifford Kilburn.
