Michael Feekes age 65, of Lake Norden, SD, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Lake Norden Care Center at Lake Norden, SD.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26th at the Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, IA with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger, officiating. Burial will follow in the Carmel Reformed Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 25th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with the family present at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Michael Dean Feekes was born September 15, 1953, at Sioux Center, IA, the son of John and Jeanette (Vonk) Feekes. Michael grew up in Sioux Center and attended Sioux Center Public School. During his life he lived in Rugby, North Dakota and worked for Feekes Trucking and later lived in Brookings, South Dakota and worked at South Dakota State University. He was a member of the Carmel Reformed Church. Michael became a resident of the Lake Norden Care Center at Lake Norden, South Dakota where he died this past Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the age of sixty-five.

He is survived by his brothers, Harlen (Cheryl) Feekes of Modesto, CA; Doug (Melinda) Feekes of Litchfield Park, AZ and Verlyn Feekes of Castle Rock, CO; sisters, Nelva (Thomas) Petersen of Belle Plaine, IA; Cheri (Ryan) Helfenstein of Mons, Belgium and Tami Feekes (Morris "Moe" Brizinski) of Mesa, AZ; 16 nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jeanette, one Nephew Jeremey Feekes.
