Raymond Donkersloot
Dec. 21, 1919—Sept. 14, 2001

ZEELAND, MI—Raymond John Donkersloot, 81, Zeeland, MI, formerly of Sheldon, died Friday, Sept. 14, at Haven Park Christian Nursing Home.

Services were Monday, Sept. 17, at First Reformed Church in Zeeland. MI, with the Revs. Burrell Pennings and Scott Van Oostendorp officiating. Burial was at the city cemetery, under the direction of Lakeshore Memorial Services in Zeeland.

Raymond Donkersloot, son of Nick and Marie (Koster) Donkersloot, was born Dec. 21, 1919, in Sheldon. He operated a farm near Boyden, prior to his retirement and move to Zeeland. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Zeeland and was a past consistory member in both Zeeland and First Reformed Church in Boyden.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Donkersloot of Zeeland, MI; two sons, Jim and Sara Donkersloot of Zeeland, MI, and Norman and Anna Donkersloot of Holland, MI; Evelyn and Bill Boswell of Bozeman, MT; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Marie Donkersloot of Hull; a brother, Edward and Alma Donkersloot of Sanborn; two sisters, Ilene Donkersloot of Hull and Mae and Clayton Vis of Hull; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan De Kok of Sanborn, Suzanne H. Brink of Sanborn, Henry Brink of Sheldon, Marie and Dick Oostenink of Grand Rapids, MI, Sylvia De Kok of Sheldon, Eva and Russel Dow of Mulberry, FL, Arie and Laure De Kok of Stewartville, MN, and Payl and Olga De Kok of Holland, MI.
