Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Hull Tuesday, May 7, for Mrs. Bert Gertrude (De Young) Ver Steeg, 78, who died in the Sioux Center Community.

Services were conducted by the Reverend David Ter Beest and burial was made in the Hull Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons - Ronald of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Vernon of Luverne, Minnesota, and Norman of Hardwick, Minnesota; four daughters - Mrs. John De Groot, and Mrs. Harry De Jager of Luverne, Minnesota, Mrs. Ben Van Veldhuizen of Raymond, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lawrence De Wilt of Boyden, Iowa; a brother, Herman De Young, of Long Beach, California; a sister, Mrs. Henry Vander Wilt, of Sibley, Iowa; 40 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
