From the Rock Valley Bee, May 20, 1932:

Former Rock Valley Girl Passed Away

Ruth Louise Minard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Minard, was born June 8, 1895, at Rock Valley, Iowa. She attended school in Rock Valley, graduating with the class of 1912. For six years she was a successful rural teacher in Sioux and O’Brien counties. On May 11, 1918, she was married to Ory Yeager, of Sutherland, Iowa, where they resided until 1922, when they moved to a farm near Sacred Heart, Minn. Three daughters came to bless the home, Elinor, age 6; Lois, age 2; and a tiny baby.

Mrs. Yeager passed away at the hospital, Montevideo, Minn., on May 8, 1932, at the age of 37 years and 11 months. Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday, May 11 and at the M. E. church at Renville, Minn. Burial was also made at Renville.

Mr. Yeager and Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Tierney were with Mrs. Yeager at the time of her death, another sister, Mrs. W. C. Bryant and husband arriving at the home Monday morning.

Those attending the funeral services from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Miller and sons, State Center, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Yeager and Jed Yeager, Primghar, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Yeager, Delhi, Minn. She leaves two sisters at Wenatchee, Wash., and a brother at Seattle, Wash., who were unable to be present.
