Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Doon October 12 for Mrs. Peter Van De Oever, 87, of Doon, who died October 9 following a lengthy illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Jacob Van Mantgem and burial was made in Hope Cemetery at Hull.

The former Barbara Brower was born June 28, 1881, at Pella and was married February 12, 1903, at Rock Valley. Her husband preceded her in death in 1939.

Survivors include five sons - John of George, Fred of Doon, Andrew of Stickney, South Dakota, Henry of Rock Valley and Peter of Holland, Michigan; four daughters - Mrs. Peter Bruggraaf of Inwood, Miss Cynthia VandeOever of Doon, Mrs. Clarence Top of Valley Springs, South Dakota, and Mrs. Ralph Top of Priceton, Minnesota; 42 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
