Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Alvord July 27 for Theodore Rogers, 88, of Doon, who died July 24 at the Rock Valley Hospital following a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Richard Zenk and burial was made in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Sheldon.

Mr. Rogers was born July 3, 1883 at Elkader, Iowa. He was married to Marie C. Kersbergen August 5, 1915. She died Sepyember 27, 1936. On March 19, 1947 Mr. Rogers was joined in matrimony with Fern Schwab of Luverne, Minnesota.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Muriel) Stapenhorst, of Sheldon, Iowa; two sisters - Stella Swenning of Phoenix, Arizona, and Nora Curtis of Conga Park, California; two step-sons, Edward Freese of Huron, South Dakota, and Duane Freese of Sanborn, Iowa; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
