Mr. Adolph Schroeder passed away at the age of 81 years, at the old homestead near Doon, Iowa on Wednesday, May 19, 1943 and was buried in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery on Saturday, May 22nd.
Mr. Schroeder was born at Mozendorf, Germany and at the age of seven, came with his mother and four brothers to America.
On November 19th, 1891 he was united in marriage to Miss Maria Carolina "Lena" Klein of Rock Valley. To this union four children were born.
Mr. Schroeder is survived by his wife and the four children: Adolph C. Schroeder, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Edd. F. Helmers of Priest River, Idaho; Harold F. Schroeder of Doon; and Mrs. Emil J. Schemmel of Denver, Colorado. Five grandchildren and one brother, Fred Schroeder of Hull survive.
