Miss Nelle Schrooder of Alton died May 27 at her home after six weeks illness. She was born October 24, 1881, at Bellevue, Iowa, and came to Sioux County 60 years ago. She was a daughter of Nicholas and Mary Ann (Arens) Schroeder, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning, May 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Reverend J. M. Neppel officiating and burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clara Gates of Des Moines and Millie Schroeder of Alton and 19 nieces and nephews. Two sisters and three brothers, as well as her parents, preceded her in death. Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen were in charge.
