Gerrit T. Roetman was born in Hull, Iowa, June 20, 1891, and died here, March 20, 1926, being 34 years and 9 months old.

On December 29, 1918, he was united in marriage with Miss Gertrude Rikkers, of this place, to whom were born two children, Timmy, age 6 and Geneva, age 4.

Besides his wife and children he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Timen Roetman, and three brothers, Frank, Marinus, and Dick and five sisters, Mrs. Alice Baker, Mrs. Grace VanderWilt, Mrs. Tena VerHey, Mrs. Jennie Halwerda, and Mrs. Tracy VanderArk. All were present at the funeral except Reverend and Mrs. Halwerda.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 23, from the H. Rikkers home at 1:30 o'clock and from the Christian Reformed Church at 2:00 o'clock. Reverend Huissen and Reverend Danhof officiating. Burial was made in Hope Cemetery, Hull, Iowa.
