Henry Kortekamp was born on April 5, 1882, in Friesland, Netherlands, and passed away at the Hull hospital on Thursday, Dec 5, 1040, at the age of 58 years and 8 months. Mr. Kortekamp had been in had health for several years but at the present time was not confined to his bed. He complained about being dizzy or Thursday and when he fell unconscious, he was rushed to the Hull hospital and died a short time later of a broken blood vessel in his head. When a young man of 20 year: he came to this country am settled in this vicinity. In 191: he was united in marriage to Hattie Horn of Hull. They farmed near Lismore, Minn., for three years and then moved back to Boyden and lived here the remainder of his life with the exception of three years when they farmed near Hull.

He leave to survive him, his wife am many other relatives and friends Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the United Presbyterian church with Rev. Johnson of George and Rev. J. \V. Brink officiating. Pall bearers were John Miller, John De Jong, R. Kamminga, Paul McCrum, Steve Vanden Brink and Fred Starkweather Jr. Music was furnished by Rev. and Mrs. Paul Hutchers of George. Interment was made in the Boyden cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. John Horn of Slayton, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harman and son Vergil, Mr. and Mrs. Art Riemer, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harman and Mr. and Mrs. Simon Vander Lee, all of near Lake Wilson, Minn., Mrs. Laurence Doornenbos and children of Rock Rapids and many other relatives of Sheldon and Hull.
