A very large crowd attended the funeral of Lloyd Bernard Rensink in Boyden Tuesday when the body was laid to rest in the Boyden Cemetery. Services were held at the First Reformed Church of Boyden, with the Reverend H. Stuenenberg officiating.

A military firing squad and color guard was furnished for the cemetery rites.

Music included a duet, “Beyond the Sunset” by Mrs. Ray Smit and Mrs. H. Stuenenberg, and a solo, “If I Could See Beyond Today,” sung by Stanley Jacobsma.

Pallbearers were John Doorenbos, Henry Houtsma, John Scholten, Clarence Van Velzen, Ray Diekevers and Henry Rensink.

Mr. Lloyd Bernard Rensink, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester and Harriet (Koolbeck) Rensink, died as a result of an airplane accident over the Yellow Sea, while serving in the United States Navy. Lloyd had reached the age of 24 years, 10 months and 9 days. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Nelva, Mrs. Elmer Brunsting of Grand Island, New York.

Lloyd graduated from the Hospers High School in 1947 and also attended one year at Northwestern Junior College. On February 26th, 1951, he enlisted in the navy and served as Radar operator.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Vander Oloeg Funeral Home.
