From the Alton Democrat, January 2, 1931, Hull news:

A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vander Schaaf last Thursday but the little one lived only a short time, passing away Friday morning. Burial services were held Friday at Hope cemetery with Rev. Stoppels officiating.

No further information about this child was found. He was probably the son of Harry Vander Schaaf (1896-1982) and Tracy Van’t Hul (1896-1991), who were married in Hull on 28 Feb 1919 and were living in Hull in 1930.
