Funeral services for Joseph Reuter were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hospers. The Reverend Eugene Ceperly officiated. Burial was at St. Anthony's Church Cemetery.

Mr. Reuter was born August 9, 1926 at Granville, Iowa. He married the former Marie Hulst December 17, 1949 at Alton. He was a building contractor and co-owner of the Reuter and Schmit Construction Company of Hospers.

Mr. Reuter was a member of the Hospers Chamber of Commerce and lay director of St. Anthony's.

He is survived by his widow; five daughters, all of Hospers, his mother, Mrs. Josephine Hoffman of Hospers; two sisters and one brother.

Harold Berding, 38, was killed in a two-car accident near Hospers Saturday, October 16. He was a passenger in a car driven by Joseph Reuter, 45, of Hospers. Mr. Reuter was killed also.
