Funeral services were held Monday, April 26, at the First Reformed Church Chapel of Orange City for Mrs. Lambert Rens, 94, who died Friday morning at the Orange City Hospital. The Reverend Robert Bast officiated. Burial was made in the local cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rens (nee Ida "Grietje" Gerritsen) was born in the Netherlands and came to America with her parents as an infant. She lived in this vicinity all her life. She married Lambert Rens in 1889. Mr. Rens died 17 years ago.

Surviors include three daughters, Lizzie (Mrs. C. Van Coler), Jennie (Mrs. Gt Rozeboom), Kate (Mrs. H. W. Pereboom) all of Orange City, and three sons, Cornie of Appleton, Minnesota, Lambert of Sparta, Michigan, and Gerrit L. of Orange City.

Mrs. Hens was preceded in death by two sons.
