Mrs. Rich Rens--Dies Tuesday; Funeral Friday

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 13, at 1 p.m. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Chapel and at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethel Christian Reformed church for Mrs, Richard Rens, Sr., 55, who passed away at the Sioux City Methodist Hospital Tuesday, following an illness. Burial will be made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home. The Reverend Louis Tamminga will officiate.

Mrs. Rens, Sr., nee Helen Wassink, was born March 3, 1912, at Sioux Center. On February 14, 1933, she was united in marriage to Richard Rens, Sr.

Survivors include her husband, three children, Hattie (Mrs. Gerrit Vander Plaats) of Ocheyedan, Richard, Jr., and William of Sioux Center, and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. John Davelaar of Sioux Center, Mrs. Albert Hubers of North Carolina, Mrs. John Mulder of Lakewood, California, and Mrs. Bertha Hubers of Grandville, Michigan, and one brother, Arend T. Wassink of Sioux Center.

Friends who would like to meet with the family, may do so at the Vander Ploeg Chapel Thursday evening from 7:30 to 8:30.
