Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 2, from the Christian Reformed Church of Hull for Tim Rens, 76, who passed away Thursday, May 29, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. A brief service for the family was held at 1:00 p.m. at the family home in Hull. Reverend H. Van Deelen officiated at the services. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Service of Sioux Center.

Mr. Rens was born in the Netherlands June 12, 1881, the son of Reyer Rens and Enjeltje Van Sloten. He came to the United States with his parents when he was three years old. He lived most of his life in the Hull community. Mr. and Mrs. Rens commemorated their 50th wedding anniversary March 4, 1958.

Surviving are his wife, Gertie (Van Maanen) Rens; one son, Raymond, of Lakewood, California; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Lammert of Sioux Center and John of Hull.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bert, who passed away at the age of 37; one granddaughter; his parents and one sister.
