Nemmers, Nicholas died 24 Mar 1882 age 44 wife Anna buried St. Mary’s Cemetery Alton IA (WPA record) No death notice was found in the papers.

The 1880 census of East Orange Township lists Nicholas Nemmers 34 farmer, wife Anna 28, children Peter 6, Hubert 4, Jospehine 3, daughter 2 mo.

Note: In a report on ancestry.com Nicholas Nemmers was born August 12, 1845 in Kehlen Luxembourg, married Anna Keiser on Feb 24, 1873 St Donatus IA. He died Feb 24, 1882 at Alton IA. He was the son of Nicolaus Nemmers and Maria Catherine Freymann.
