The Reverend Gradus C. Aalberts, 57, was stricken with pneumonia and died April 23 in Omaha.

The Reverend Aalberts was a trustee of Northwestern College, and missionary pastor of the Winnebago Reformed Church in Nebraska.

He was born in Orange City June 4, 1912. He graduated from the Northwestern Academy in 1932 and the Junior College in 1934. The Reverend Gradus Aalberts received his B.A. Degree from Calvin College and his Th. B. Degree from Western Theological Seminary.

After serving as pastor of the American Reformed Church in Ireton from 1939-42, he became superintendent at the Indian Mission in Winnebago, Nebraska until 1958.

He did mission work in Minneapolis, Minnesota until 1964, when he became pastor of the Winnebago Reformed Church.

He is survived by his wife, Auriel Mae (Bakker) Aalberts and five children: Nola, teaching in Floyd; Marlene, serving with the Peace Corps in Guatemala; Janice, serving with the Peace Corps in Africa; Karen, attending college in Mason City; and Carl, a high school student in Winnebago;his mother, Mrs. Christian Aalberts of Orange City, and two sisters.
