Dolly E. Rehberg, 80, of Rock Valley died Thursday, August 8, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley.

Services were at 1:30 P.M. Monday, August 12, at First Baptist Church in Sioux Center with the Reverend Eldor Wilkens officiating. Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery, Boyden.

Mrs. Rehberg, the former Dolly Den Hartog, was born October 7, 1915, in Doon, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Van Geest) Den Hartog. She attended Rock Valley High School and graduated from Sioux City School of Cosmetology in 1938. She married Louis Rehberg on November 24, 1934, in Rock Valley. He died May 21, 1971. The couple farmed for two years and later resided in Detroit, Michigan, from 1950-1985. She worked as a beautician for 15 years and as a seamstress for 30 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sioux Center. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, rodeos and horseback riding. She volunteered at River Valley School in Rock Valley, working with the children.

Survivors include two sisters, Jean Heidebrink and her husband Clarence of Hull, and Louise Crouse of Rock Valley.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Neal, Richard and Melvin.
