Funeral services for Bartel Boogerd Sr., 67, were held at the First Reformed Church of Hull at 1:30 P.M. Friday. The Reverend Willard De Vries officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Kraai Funeral Home.

Mr. Boogerd died January 2 at a Sheldon Hospital. He was born March 18, 1900, at Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of James and Agnes (Bouma) Boogerd.

Survivors include the widow, Minnie; a daughter, Mrs. Siebert P. Haverhals of Hawarden, Iowa; four sons - James B. Rock Valley, Iowa, Fred of Hull, Iowa, Marvin of Canton, South Dakota, and Bartel, Jr. of Grand Rapids, , Michigan; two sisters - Mrs. Ben Vander Kooi of Hull, Iowa, and Mrs. John Te Krony of Clear Lake, South Dakota; three brothers - Sidney of Holland, Michigan, Charles of Artesia, California, and Walter of Hull, Iowa; 21 grandchildren
