Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Maurice Thursday afternoon for Jacob G. "Jake" Den Herder, 76, who passed away suddenly at his home in Maurice November 16.

He was married to Fannie Schutt on February 25, 1916. and they lived on a farm west of Sioux Center. Three years later they moved to a farm near Maurice, where they remained until thy moved to their present home in Maurice. She died on July 2, 1955.

Survivors include three daughter's, Mrs. Wilbur De Jong, Mrs. Kenneth DePree, Mrs. Jim Vlieger; one son, George Den Herder of Maurice; three brothers and one sister of Sioux Center.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Maurice Reformed Church.
