Obituary- On 10 March 1916 Jan Mulder died. He was 75 years 10 months.

Mr. John Mulder who died last Friday at the home of his son near Boyden, was born in the Netherlands in the year of 1840. He came to this country in 1881, bringing his wife and family, four sons and three daughters. Since coming to this county he has spent the larger part of his life in farming. Although having been a prosperous farmer, his life showed that the not neglected the admission of the Lord, Seek Ye First the Kingdom and It’s righteousness.” Mr. Mulder had nearly reached the age of 76. He was a loving husband and kind father, and a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Middleburg with Rev. Beit as pastor. Funeral was held Monday from the Dutch reformed Church of this town, Rev. Belt having charge assisted by Rev. J. Van Houte.
