Arie Punt, Sr., died Sunday evening at 9:45 after a serious illness of a few days. However, he had been ailing for a couple of years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 26, at 1 p. m. in the home and at 1:30 in the First Reformed Church with Reverend H. Colenbrander officiating. Burial was in the local cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Those who survive him include his wife, one sister, Mrs. Mary Kots of Long Beach, California, and two brothers, Martin and Cornelius, both of Sioux Center. There were no children.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Punt spent his early life in Michigan. Thirty years ago he married Willemine "Minnie" Kots and they lived in Sioux County all of the time, first at Sioux Center and then in Orange City.
