PULSCHER DIES IN MISSOURI FOLLOWING HEART ATTACK

Otto Pulscher, a resident of Hawarden for the past five years, passed away at Hannibal, Missouri, last Saturday following a heart attack. Mr. Pulscher was employed at Hannibal and was stricken suddenly while there.

Funeral services were held at the Barnard Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon with Reverend W.V. Bell in charge. The American Legion had charge of the services at the grave in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Otto Pulscher was born at Everist, Illinois, February, 1890, and passed away June 24, 1944, at the age of 54 years, four months and eighteen days. He came to Osceola with his parents in 1905. During World War No. 1, he served with the armed forces for 18 months. He was a private, 1st class. 21st A. A. Battery, Artillery; son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Pulscher; entered service at Ft. Logan, April 16, 1917; promoted to L. C. I. June 16, 1918; first class gunner April 9, 1918; overseas November 13, 1917; saw action on Alsace and Verdun sectors; battalion received the French citation from Generals Liggett and March; mustered out at Camp Dodge, March 25, 1919.

He was married to Marie Anderson of Sibley on April 9, 1919, and to this union were born 10 children, who with the wife survive him. The children are Clarence, Kathryn, Phyllis, Alfred, Harold, Gilbert, Herbert, Merlin, Clifford and Francis. He is also survived by his father, three brothers, Reinhard and Herman of Mankato, Minnesota and John of Minneapolis and five sisters, Mrs. John Freeze of Pipestone, Minnesota; Mrs. Fred Hills of Freeport, Illinois; Mrs. Alanzo Dagle of Sibley and Mrs. Tony Dagel of Lake Park, and Mrs. Heinnie Huls of Sibley.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
