S. De Groot of Sibley died Sunday evening at the age of 56 years. Some years ago he lived here. Two years ago he had an attack of apoplexy, and since that time has had poor health. Another attack caused his death. He is survived by his wife and two grown children and three brothers, Johannes at Hull, Pier at Orange City and Rev. De Groot at Hospers; also two sisters Mrs. J. Wiersma and Miss Emeline De Groot of this town. Funeral services were held on Wednesday.
