Mrs. Sheri Armentrout, age 65, of Waukee, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018, at her residence.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, September 15, at 1:30pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Mark Haverdink will officiate. Interment will be at the Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars at a later date. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the funeral home.

Sharon Louise was born on July 30, 1953, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Larry and Darlene Donna (Wing) Klein. She was raised in Fort Dodge and later in Sioux City.

She was married to Daniel Beach, and although that marriage later ended, they had a daughter together, Amy.

She was married to Dwight William Armentrout in October of 1979. Together they had two sons, Erick and Tyler.

“Sheri” had lived in many different places throughout her life, including Le Mars; Orange City; Perth Amboy, New Jersey; Bellevue, Washington; Palm Springs, California; and Waukee. In earlier years, she worked for Revlon Cosmetics, Pizza Hut, and Harkers Wholesale Meat. She was currently employed at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, as a medical secretary.

She enjoyed watching movies, cooking, singing (poorly), cleaning, shopping and fashion, spending time with her sisters, buying hair bows for her new granddaughter, and discussing “The Plan”. She also loved to hang out with her friends and considered her coworkers at Mercy Hospital her second family. She looked forward to her annual trip to see her boys and their families in Seattle, Washington; to eat, drink, laugh, and love. She was very happy to see her first-born grandchild via weekly Facetime visits and to watch both of her sons find love in their chosen partners.

She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Erick Armentrout, and his wife, Amber, of Woodinville, Washington; and Tyler Armentrout, and his fiancé, Eva Collins, of Seattle; a granddaughter, Iris Armentrout; a sister, Pam Sousie; two brothers, Alen Klein and Mike Klein; her former husband, Dwight, and his spouse, Scott Schmidt; a sister-in-law, Marsha Armentrout; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Amy Beech.
