Former Principal Dies At Valley Manor Mary Norris, 90, died at Valley Manor after a long illness on Friday, May 6. Miss Norris was born on February 13, 1887, at Cobb, Wisconsin. She taught school at Reedsburgs, Wisconsin, and Easton, Pennsylvania, before coming to Rock Valley. She served as principal and taught English at the Rock Valley Community School for several years. She retired in 1952. Services were held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church. Survivors include Dr. Reginals Norris of Jacksonville, Illinois, and F.T. McGill of Rock Valley.
