Last week Anthony “Antoon” Overweg died. He was well known here having lived in this vicinity for many years.

He was buried Friday from the First Reformed Church, where Reverend Lubbers and Reverend Vander Ploeg spoke words of comfor

He was married to Reintje Voortman on February 28, 1893. She passed away on April 11, 1911.

He is survived by five grown children: Rev. John Voortman, of Middleburg, Evert Voortman, a farmer in this community, Mrs. William Rensink, and Misses Gertie and Reka Voortman.
