Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Atwood are rejoicing over the birth of a son born on Sunday June 15th.
(Assuming this is the baby boy who died in 1924 son of E H. and Clara Atwood)

Iowa death record list Charles Henry Atwood born 1924 died 19 Jul 1924 Ireton IA. Cause immature at birth in a weakened condition, immediate cause heart failure. Son of E. H. Atwood and Clara McCrory. Died 3 miles north of Fort Dodge, Webster county, in an automobile.

Babe dies in arms of mother on auto trip.
Charles Henry, the infant babe of Mr. and Mrs. E.H Atwood passed away last Saturday while____ to Iowa city where his parents were taking the babe ____ a specialist regarding an ___form which it suffered. The little one was nestled in the arms of it mother when the end ___suddenly and unexpectedly, __little group of relatives including Mrs. Marie McCrory and ‘sisters’? Jennette and Blanche, ____ing Fort Dodge. When ___Spencer it was noted that___ was apparently with___ the auto trip splendidly ___quite active, and it was ___a heart rending shock to ___mother when she discovered that she was holding the form of her first born. The grief stricken party immediately returned to Le Mars, the ____ of Mr. Atwood’s father, and undertaker took charge of the little one’s remains, and arrived in their home here. Funeral services were held form the home Monday afternoon at____ conducted by Rev. J. A. ___ of Odebolt, former pastor of the M. E. church of Ireton. Remains were laid to rest in the Ireton cemetery.
The little son was born June ___ nearly six weeks old at the time of this death. The babe___ very strong but the fond___ and relatives had enter____ ___ of aid from the best ___whom they were going ___ The community expresses ___sympathy to the parents in their bereavement.

Note: From a report on ancestry.com Elmer henry Atwood was born on April 21 1888, his parents were Henry and Bertha Jacobs Atwood. He had two sons with Clara Marie Mc Crory. He died April 22, 1967, in Le Mars IA .
