FUNERAL SERVICES HERE TODAY FOR GERRIT VANDER VLIET

Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church here at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, August 1, of Gerrit Vander Vliet, 51, of Sioux Center, who died Monday at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be conducted by the Reverend Jack Boerigter and burial will be made in the Sioux Center Community under the direction of the Cooperative Funeral Home.

Mr. Vander Vliet was born to Henry and Minnie (Burgers) Vander Vliet on October 4, 1916, near Rock Valley, where he spent his boyhood and attended school. He was married to Louise Niessink January 30, 1946, and had since then farmed near Sioux Center.

Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Harlyn John of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Gregory Kim at home; two daughters, Susan Kay (Mrs. Anthony Bonnema) of Sioux Center, and Eileen, at home: five brothers, Walter of Sheldon, Henry of Rock Valley, Everett of Sioux Center, Andrew of Sioux Center, and Cornie of Luverne, Minnesota; four sisters, Mrs, Tillie Moss of Rock Valley, Hattie (Mrs. Frank Ver Mulm) of Rock Valley, Winnie (Mrs. William Ver Mulm) of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Mina DeJong of Luverne.
