William J. Nieuwenhuis, 60. Hospers, died March 24, at his home of a heart attack. The funeral was at 10 A.M. March 28 at the United Methodist Church of Archer, with the Reverend James H. Smith officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon with the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon in charge.

Mr. Nieuwenhuis was born June 9, 1912, in Sheldon, in Sheldon. He married Geneva Reekers February 8, 1934, in Granville. He farmed near Hospers.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters - Mrs. Donald LaVerna Stinnett of Whittier, California, and Mrs. Norene DeBoom of Algona, a brother James of San Diego, California, three sisters - Mrs. John Irene Wiersma of Orange City, Mrs. Alvin Marie Roetman of Reading, Minnesota, and Mrs. Adrian Leona Gilschrist of Kansas and 12 grandchildren.
