Born on December 31, 1877, on a farm north of Orange City, George A. Oelrich died Tuesday, October 13, 1959, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 13 days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the American Reformed Church in Orange City.
On February 12, 1902, he was married to Ann Vander Stoep. They lived on a farm near Middleburg, till the time of his retirement, when they moved to Orange City.
He spent the last few weeks of his life in the John Overweg home in Rock Valley.
Survivors include two children, Lester P. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Mrs. William F. Steel (Georgiana) of Algona, Iowa. Also surviving are one brother, William of Orange City, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and his wife, who died last Wednesday, October 7.
