(there was an obit for her on the front page however half of the column was missing, therefore, submitter has improvised some of the missing information.) Death of Mrs. H. Hoffs A well known and respected citizen in the person of Mrs. H. Hoffs passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Boer. on Nov 11, at the advanced age of 81 years and 7 months. She has suffered from a stoke of paralysis five days before. She had been in feeble condition for some time.. She was born in Aalten Gelderland, the Netherlands and came to this country with her husband and family 40 years ago. They took up farming in Sioux County years ago. She was the mother of six children one dying. Deceased was a member of the Reformed church. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. J. P. De Jong conducting the services. Internment was made in Nassau township cemetery Alton IA. Mrs. Hoffs had a wide circle of family and friends. She was greatly loved by all who knew her. The children are Mrs. H. Tenhaken of Cedar Grove WI, Mr. William Te Grotenhuis of Hospers, Mr. P. Muyskens and Mrs. John Boer of Alton IA. Many relatives and friends attended the funeral. List of those attending followed.

A. Hendrika 'Hattie Hoffs died in 1943 in Sioux County, Iowa, United States. She was born in 1866 in Breedenbroek, Gelderland, Netherlands. Hendrika 'Hattie Hoffs and William Te Grotenhuis were married.
B. Henry Hofs/Hoffs was born in 1868 in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, United States. Henry Hofs/Hoffs and Carolyn Hofland were married.
C. Dina Hofs/Hoffs was born in 1874 in Wisconsin. She died on 19 Jan 1893 at the age of 19 in Sioux County, Iowa, United States.
D. Lydia Hofs/Hoffs was born in Dec 1875 in Wisconsin. She died on 17 Nov 1962 at the age of 86 in Multnomah, Oregon, United States. Peter Muyskens was born in Dec 1875 in Wisconsin.
E. Willemina 'Mina' Minnie' Hofs/Hoffs was born in Apr 1879. She died on 30 Jul 1943 at the age of 64 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, United States. She married John Boer was born.
