Mrs. J. Hofland died Monday on her farm north of town at the age of seventy eight. Mrs. Hofland came to this country with her husband in 1888 and settled near Newkirk. The surviving children are Henry, John and Jacobus Hofland, Mrs. Vollink, Mrs G. Navis, Mrs. H. Hoffs, Mrs. A. Tensne, Mrs. G. Fedders and Mrs. J. Peters. The funeral was held at the Chr. Ref. Church Orange City.

They had at least six children. He died Dec 26, 1915 Archer IA. Catharina was born Nov 1, 1834 in Naaldwijk Zuid Holland Neth. The daughter of Hendrik Stokdijk and Maria Kuijvenhoven. This account shows her death as Sept 1911 at Archer IA.
