From the Boyden Reporter, February 13, 1930:

MARVIN PAUL VANDEHOEF

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul VandeHoef was turned from happiness into grief when one of their twin boys died suddenly from acute enteritis on Wednesday, Feb. 5th, 1930. The twins were born on November 25, 1930 [i.e., 1929] and Marvin Paul was only two months old at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the home on Friday, February 7. Rev. Manson of Middleburg was in charge of the services. The little child was buried in the Middleburg cemetery. The bereaved parents and his brothers and sisters have the deepest sympathy from the entire community.
