DEATH CALLS MRS. JENNIE MOSER

Mrs. Jennie L.(Heathcote) Moser, died at Rock Rapids Hospital following several months sickness. Mrs. Moser was well known here where she spent her earlier years before and after her marriage.

She was married to William A. Moser and for some time they lived on the Moser farm two and one-half miles west of Ireton, which is now owned by Mrs. G. L. Houlton. The Mosers later moved onto a farm near Platte, South Dakota, where Mr. Moser passed away some years ago when he was burned by gasoline which exploded. Mrs. Moser carried on for a time after her husband’s death and then as her children grew up she left the farm. After going to Rock Rapids she operated a café but she gave up that business when her health failed her.

She is survived by four children, three daughters and a son, Wayne. She was about 59 years of age.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in Rock Rapids, after which her remains were brought to Ireton where short services were held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. A. L. Craik at 3:30. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Her remains were laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, beside her husband and a son, who died in infancy.

Mrs. Craik, a very close friend of Mrs. Moser spent much time at the bedside during her long illness bringing cheer and comfort to her and her children. Mrs. Moser had many fine qualities which helped her in making and holding friends. It is those who knew her best who will miss her most.
