Jonker, Hendrik born 16 Oct 1848 died 15 Aug 1928 buried in Sherman Township cemetery Maurice IA.

H. Jonker died at his home Thursday morning at the age of nearly 8O years.

He was born in the Netherlands, was united in marriage on the 16th of May 1872. To this union 10 children were born of which five are yet living: N. Jonker, Mrs. H. G. Brink, Mrs. P. Vogelaar. Arie Jonker and John Jonker. The family came to-America in April. 32 years ago and have lived here and in the vicinity since that time. He also leaves 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon from the First Reformed church, Rev. H. Colenbrander officiating. Burial took place in the Maurice cemetery.

Note: In a report on ancestry.com (by others) Hendrik Jonke born Oct 16, 1848 in Menaldumadeel, Friesland Netherlands, he died August 15, 1928 Maurice IA. He married Pietje Miedema on May 16, 1872. They had ten children. His parents were Arjen Jans Jonker and Dieuwke Hendriks van der Wal. Children: Arijen 1873-1877, Nanne 1875-1947, Auke 1875, Jetske 1877-1957, Dieuwke 1878-1938, Arjen 1879-1948, Jacob 1882-1903, Jan 1885-1885, Jantje 1886-1886, Jan 1889-1063.
