Note in the 1925 census of Ireton IA George A. Johnson 32 born about 1893 in IA wife Etta Kluter 26 born about 1899 IA other children Arthur C. age 10 and Billy C. age 1.

Death Claims Baby Daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson p.re called upon to mourn the death of their little daughter, Eloise, which occurred at the hospital in Hawarden at 7:30 last Saturday morning, following an operation the day before. She was first taken sick with the measles and this was followed by croup which affected her throat to such an extent that it was decided that the only possible chance in saving her life was through an operation. She was taken to the hospital Friday evening and the operation was performed at once. She rallied nicely from the operation and seemed to be in such splendid condition that her parents were relieved to some extent of their anxiety and returned home. During the night, however, a serious turn for the worse was noted and the parents were immediately notified and hurried to her bedside where she passed away Saturday morning. The remains wore brought home and funeral services were held at the Lutheran church here Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. E. Rich Schmidt, and interment was made in the Ireton cemetery
Eloise was born in Sioux Rapids and would have been three years old in February. She came with her parents to Ireton about a year ago. Besides her parents she is survived by one brother and one sister. The sympathy of the whole community goes out to the heart broken parents in their sad hour
